Hi all. Got the chunk of pet wood from Llana today and I must say, it is a beautiful piece of stone. I don't think I can ever repay her for giving this stone to me. I sent her a box of some of the best rock I had, but it still doesn't come close to this stone. Here are a few pics I took of it today as the sun was going down. The second one really shows the shine on the face of the stone.   Even my cat had to check it out.   I'm going to build a nice stand out of some nice birdseye maple and proudly display it. Ed |

Beautiful specimen there Stoner. I'd like to see the stand when you finish it too. I have a few pieces I'd like to display, but I'm waiting to find some nice wooden stand to hold them. I bet your cat can see itself in there, huh? It sure is a nice piece, and I'm glad your not in the mindset to whack it all up and tumble it  -Banjo |

stoner are you making handpuppets in that rock  . what a shine! the cat knows there is a tree spirit inside that rock. i want to see the stand when you are through too. kim |

Stoner, I also can't wait to see the stand you build for it. You have more than repaid me already! I haven't gotten the stuff you sent me, but I know I will love it all. If I thought we could have cut it without it breaking up because of all those fractures, believe me, I would have done it. But, it was just too pretty to take a chance with. I'm just glad you love it and it will have a neat place to live! I don't really have anyplace to display it, so it belongs with you and all your other display specimens so it will have other rock friends! ;D I wouldn't want it to be lonely!  I used to have a cat - BoKitty - that looked just like that! He was the neatest cat and just as curious! And would have been sitting in front on the rock, admiring himself. llana |

Hey Kim. I had to go back and look at the pic to see what you were talking about-hand puppets? After staring at it for a few moments, I realized that what you're seeing is the corner of my roof with the "S" shaped downspout from the gutter.
Although, that would be a nice trick, making hand puppets while taking the picture too.

ps. I've got the stand designed, now all I need is the time to make it.

Talk about a sweetie - you should see the great rocks Stoner sent me! WOW! Honey agate, KOI jasper, poppy jasper, picture jasper, moss agate and more. I think he got the short end of the deal!
