Ok today is the day, maybe. I started this Tuesday but struggled with the safety glasses. I have stitches in my face (basal, yes I’m fine thanks) and just couldn’t get comfortable. I picked a small chrysocolla quartz that’s asymmetrical hoping it would be easier doing it lopsided on purpose. I only have round wire and the very first attempt was 20/22 which hurt my fingers. I moved down to 22/24 and it got a bit easier but I crossed a wire and twisted when wrapping what will be the bail.

Tape is my friend for sure. Hoping my Rio box gets here today for some reason I think square wire will be magically easier to work with. Now to figure out why I can’t get my tablet online.

Hilarious. I should have stopped myself when she said I can add a bead and do anything I want. I broke a wire and it was all down hill from there!

What I learned. My favorite tool is the wire gauge size thingy. Angled girdles are very different from straight ones. The cab was too thick for my wire choice or number of wires. I may have been better off with a larger cab and heavier wire. This is 22/24 round copper.

Maybe I’ll do another tomorrow!
