Hi Ron, You got some great rocks there. Looks a lot like the areas I go rock hunting in. I've never seen any of those petrosky stones but then I've never really looked for them. Will have to see if I can find any next time I go out. Love your wheels!
Cher
PS ... Is this a new game, I cannot see an arrow that's supposed to be pointing at the stone.

Hey Ron,
You have more trees in the very first photo ... than I have in our entire 110 square mile county!
I miss the mountains and trees ... thanks for the photos.

Ron-
I found your pictures to be extremely interesting. Great to see the story kind of unfolding. NEAT trick w/ the arrow pointing to the Now Famous Petosky stones. I'm with Cher and some others, I'd love to find some of those dudes. Very interesting little artifact.
Thanks,
Gaetz

OUCH! The disadvantages of living in the "lake effect" snow belt. Sorry Ron, hope it melts really soon.

I totally agree with you Ron, it's really sad to see that. You're lucky they made those arrangements to pick up anything. They won't do that up here so you can't go anywhere without seeing garbage dumped around. People just don't care.
Great rocks you found, any idea what they are? Those pinkish / orange colored ones look really neat. Can't wait to see them tumbled.

Ron, you gotta do what you gotta do and if that means being a hero or champion for something or someone that can't speak for themselves ... sometimes a person can only take so much. And the bones ... oh yeah. A few weeks ago when my daughter and I got to go out, we found bones (skull bones). Couldn't ID them ourselves and didn't want to do any digging or mess up the area so took a few to a deputy she knew but he couldn't ID themn either. He had us call the sheriff and we ended up having to go back to the gravel pit and wait meet them there. Turned out after a little digging, it was deer bones. They were really glad we "had the courage and concern" to call though as there are 7 people missing up in our area, they were hoping we had actually found something.
I was mixed on it, I mean I was glad it was just an animal but at the same time, had it been one of the missing people, it would have brought closure to a family.
