I have a slab of what I'm fairly sure is Graveyard Point and this cab has a pretty big fracture (?) in it. I put some of that E6000 in it last night and I'm going to see if it seals and stabilizes the stone. It's not that special, but it looks better in person. Who knows, I may be wasting my time but it will be a learning experience for me anyway.

Experimenting and learning along the way is part of the fun. Especially when things turn out for the better, but even if they don’t you’ve learned something for next time.
Heck I just threw in a load of soft rocks with no grit. Just some water, sugar to thicken it some and some salt to prevent freezing. Not even 24 hours later and the rocks were becoming rounded and smooth. Fun times!!!

E6000 doesn't dry hard, it stays tacky. I don't think it's a good candidate for filling voids in stones. I would use E330 for that purpose.

Maybe the lesson for the day was "how to remove E6000", I'd try acetone first but sometimes I do things wrong

Mike, if it hasn't set yet, it will probably peel right out of there.

And if it has, acetone should dissolve it.

Just an update- I checked the stone this morning and Don was correct. On a positive note, the glue just pulled right out, front and back. Looks like I'm going to try the E330. Might be of interest to EricD

So I ordered some of this glue to try to fix this and wondering if anyone has ever used it. Now I just need to decide between original, gap filling or ultra gap filling.

my experience is that E-6000 wouldn't be the best job for that fracture as you found out Mike
Altho E-6000 is fabulous epoxy with incredible holding strength my early hearts were done with that
but it dries rubbery and is yellow so it wasn't the best for some of my less than flat seams
I was real satisfied when I started using the 330
never used Hot Stuff I think it good stuff according to the Rolling Stones

So I ordered some of this glue to try to fix this and wondering if anyone has ever used it. Now I just need to decide between original, gap filling or ultra gap filling. I have been using it for years. The Hot Stuff is great for tight fractures. I've use the Super & Special to fill pits in some plume agates with pretty good results. Be sure and wear nitrile gloves when you use it and have their super solvent on hand as well. The Hot Stuff will glue your fingers together in a heartbeat. Bill

Bill Forgot to add that the wider the gap, the more likely it will undercut.
