Horrible weather here this weekend but I went and picked up the saw and other goodies anyway. Need to check the gear motor for the feed and either repair or replace it. Other then that it runs and sounds good. There were some boxes of rocks and slabs but after looking through them not much of that was worth bring home. The saw is an 18" and the brand name on it is "slab master" never seen one before but maybe these pictures will help someone I.D. it based on the tank design. Negotiated the price at $550 for everything and included her choice of two pendants from my Etsy store. Chuck

I think you got a great deal on all that equipment. What you don't want, you can sell. Excellent score!

Nice haul!. That long shafted, home-made tumbler looks like it's just waiting for one of jamesp 's custom barrels!!

What a haul you made there! I see a "CRS Gripper" in front of the saw. Those sold in the $300 range, and I love the one we got with our Frantom.
I see comments on the Thumler's Tumbler, but the first thing I saw was the Inland. One of those is why I'm here surrounded by a rockpile now.
Bought an All-In-Wonder unit on a whim to see if I could cut an opal. Eventually it led to me and Robin getting married and accumulating a couple of tons of rocks. Once I found out what real equipment was all about I also dubbed it a "toy" unit - but I'll never get rid of it because I wouldn't be on here now if not for buying that toy... .
Here's a photo of the Gripper on our Frantom:
The jaws "spin" clockwise/counterclockwise and the jaw assembly rotates on the base to allow almost limitless options for orientation of the rough.
Looks like a decent old Lortone SA-8 arbor there, too. Buying a used Poly, pans, and plumbing it would cost you a couple hundred bucks. So all said and done, it looks like you got a pretty good old free saw there!

Wow what a score. With luck like that you should go play the lottery. You may recoup your money spent.

Congrats!! Way to go. Let me know if you sell off the Thumbler. Thanks. That is the first Thumbler model B tumbler I have come across so I'll keep that one awhile to play with. Chuck

That Thumler Tumbler looks brand new. Nice score! I like the Model B tumbler. That might be a good economical way to tumble when I am not rolling enough rocks to warrant using the homemade with the 1/4" HP motor. Chuck
