Spent some time between the two holidays rummaging through a big bin of "WTF" rocks...as in "I'm not sure WTF the I'm going to do with these rocks". Mostly small heels, trim saw scraps and other sorted stuff that would likely see a tumbler one day if I could stop, or even slow down, my accumulation problem I like to work from that pile here and there as it's a different challenge than a planned pre-form from a slab, and I have to think through things more for all sorts of reasons. It can be heart breaking at times, and I don't love a lot of them when i'm done, but it's good for learning. With the exception of the red/green ocean jasper, they're all just free formed from the bin. I started pulling them off the dops but I was running out of time and didn't feel like the big production that pics always are for me so I took the lazy route The pics aren't great but it's hard to find much time for this stuff these days so thought I'd share them with lazy mode photography. Had a couple of casualties, and came across a really cool little piece of fire agate that has a tiny red gem wrapped in a half moon thing - it caught my eye anyway. Thanks for looking! Had a couple of casualties as well, which was the catalyst to me wrapping up the little project for now. These two both caught the felt wheel and launched themselves across the garage. Considering the trip they took I got pretty lucky and still do something with them if I want, but of course they were both I'd spent more time on in general working with undercutting and other challenges. The OJ has some cool druzy windows, which was what the corner that broke off was made of for the most part.

Good looking cabs! I bet you could fix those with chips. I think they are worth a try.

Very nice material! All keepers, for sure. I have a stack of rocks like that, too. I always find something to do other than them- but you have inspired me.

Those are all sweet looking cabs — evidence of a good eye for patterns and shapes!

Fantastic job, all of them! Oh, and "accumulation problem" made me chuckle...

The red and green one is a Ninja Turtle. They're all very pretty.
