More than half the time, the slabs i cut have no lapidary value whatsoever, they are just one of the ways i get my fix, cutting rocks to expose the patterns etc, once in a great while i get a slice to cut a cab from, but mostly, with the poppy stuff especially? i wind up with specimens i display in my garage for a bit,and eventually give away to make room for more. here is a couple from the last month Pimento Poppy IMG_4439 by paul forsythe, on Flickr IMG_4403 2 by paul forsythe, on Flickr IMG_4402 2 by paul forsythe, on Flickr Hunters Valley IMG_4444 2 by paul forsythe, on Flickr IMG_4441 2 by paul forsythe, on Flickr

Amazing! And to think how excited I get and how obsessed and addicted I've become with the hobby just from collecting and cutting landscape rocks and river gravel....if I cut anything half as cool as these a full fledged intervention would be sure to follow.
