I'll be adding to this over the next few days, hopefully it doesn't get old... Here's a couple that came out last night. Although the stones aren't perfect (druzys and a few pits- I didn't want to grind away all of the patterns), I'm pretty pleased with the shine.

Looks to me like the TV5 does just great! It really does. Now if I could just take out any human errors...

Honestly, I do also. But I suppose there are some purists who want them perfectly smooth... But they do look really nice to the naked eye.

Here are a few more. This first one came from rockjunquie , I can't remember the name- Stone Canyon, possibly... And some Tiffany. All shined better than in the rotary- but each one seems to have issues. This one was is tiny, about 1/2" by 1/4". It was a piece that broke when I was shaping it- but I'm still going to do something with it. This piece has a fracture, going vertically right about where the brownish colors start. I may leave it alone, may grind that part off. Haven't decided. And finally, this weird shaped cab. I don't care, it shined nice and has great colors. I can wrap it and make it look nice.

Forgot this piece of Tiffany, I had to take it outside to get a decent pic. And yes, that's snow on the board under it. I don't think I'm done with this. I'm not 100% satisfied with the shape and there are a few scratches in the top. But it did shine nice!

Thanks for doing that- and for the complimentl. I like it but I may rework it if I get enough ambition. 😀

Very nice! So how do you like the few day turnaround with vibe vs few weeks w rotary? I love it. I wish you people would have told me sooner about the vibe! LOL.......We've been discussing the use of "bowl" vibes here forever........I've even posted several threads related the use of "off" brand types like Lyman many times. Not all of us use the "conventional" brands and still get great results.......Ask Walt, he'll relate to those discussions.........lol Even a few of us have moved on from using "rotary" tumblers for the initial rough stages (disc grinding).........much faster and better results to throw into the vibe for the remaining finishing cycles........and actually more economical as well.............something to consider....!

I was totally kidding... Walt (and others) has been "encouraging" me to get a vibe for months.
