Well, I don't have the proper tools, the right wire, or any cabs, but I couldn't let a little thing like that stop me . The first one is a piece of pet wood that polished up pretty good. I used some 21 gauge silver wire that I already had, but it definitely is not as heavy as 21 gauge should be. The second one is just a stone that had a pretty good shape but not much shine. This one is done with copper practice wire. It was really stong. It almost broke in two places, don't know whether you can see it or not. It's definitely going to take a lot of practice. I just got a tile saw and am trying to learn how to use it. Haven't cut any cabs yet, but i'm getting some cut up that I think will tumble real well and have a good shape. Must get me a grinder next and I'm already wanting a nice big slab saw. Anyone got one for sale cheap? I'm gettin' way into this and way over my head. Any criticism appreciated. Trish

Hey you did very very good for a first time, won't be long and you'll be putting out some real beauties. Have patience and study pics, it helps alot. (Banjo's are great for studying, I've spent a lot of time there.)

Thanks everyone. You just can't see the almost breaks and scratches, but they don't look too bad in the picture. I just can't get the knack of making the little circles. Guess I just need the right tool. Trish

Lookin good Trish - keep at it !
I've been offline for a couple of days with a few problems, so I used the time to have another go. I'll maybe post some pics later, if I'm feeling brave.
