The REAL computer came home. YEA now I can download photos. Here's the appetizers. Photos by a camera idiot, a demonstration of how different the same rocks can look. (Hint: I am upset because usually I can't get a SHINE to show up in my photos.) Thanks!

Excellent work there Puppie. Shine looks very wet to me. Good job on that lace.

Wow we are busy here tonight.
Yeah, I have put photos of some of these up before, and they didn't shine much. I didn't try to edit the snaps of the dish and isn't it amazing...the one with the yellow tones shines great but isn't true to the colors. The sunlight makes them look faded out and the other isn't as bright. What do other people do to get such great photos?

What a clever idea! Your rocks look shiny to me and good enough to eat. Trish

That's a whole Lotta rock! I love the lace! - As for picture taking, I find that indoor light makes the pictures look yellow - I've noticed the outside pictures turn out better - weather permitting...
What will you be doing with all those rocks?

Great appetizers!! You have lots of great shine showing on those. Nothing wrong with those pics at all! Sometimes too much shine showing up in the pics isn't a great thing, I like to see what the rocks look like too, not just the glare.

That is a very cleaver way of displaying your rocks, that gives me an idea to display my rocks in my booth next month. Tami

If you poke around in the sale area of Walgreen's you can sometimes find cheap stuff like that egg plate. Alert shoppers can get many surprise rock display things (remember my gumball machine?)
I'll have to use my egg plate to show you guys some eggs. They will knock your socks off though it might be difficult to convince Fearless Leader that they are rocks and hence relevant.
Later!

I can't get a SHINE to show up in my photos Woman, you need to get your eyes checked! I can see the shine just fine. And the egg plate is a great way to display them. Cher, I know what you mean about getting good pics of your stones. When I do pics inside the color is never right and when outside in the sunlight, it's too much. I have a skylight and discovered I get the best pics when I put them under it. Even on a cloudy day, I can get good pics and on a really bright day, the skylight serves as a filter to keep too much light from coming in. Now, if I just had some stones to take come pics of, I would be in good shape! llana

I see to have completely missed this post until now. That's a lot of rocks!! Great shine on them too -- shows up very well in the pics, especially the second one.

Isn't it funny, though, how the same rocks look so different if you vary the light conditions? And, yes, there are a lot of rocks. What to do with them is an ongoing dilemma.
