Picked this up at the Swap Meet on Sunday, thought it was pretty cool. It is an internal mold of a gastropod (aka snail) that has been agatized. Do you think it was worth the $2 I paid for it? I thought so!

Thank you, Robin. It ain't Q, but I can pick up some neat stuff there every now and then. Easier on my pocketbook, as well. (And you all know how cheap thrifty I am.)
The guy selling it was a reseller, not a rock/fossil enthusiast. I asked him how much, he said two bucks. My money was in my backpack, out in the aisle with Bob. I was about to put it back down and get the money, then thought, my luck, somebody else would pick it up, lol. So I gave it to him to hold for a minute. When I went to pay him, he mentioned how cool it was. Guess he didn't really look at it closely before he gave me the price. He probably would have charged more, if he could.
Have been picking up shells there recently. Cowries, cone snails, olive shells, unknowns...

That would look really sweet polished up for a pendant.

That would look really sweet polished up for a pendant. Thanks, Robin. I considered that briefly, but I think it will remain a specimen. At .94 oz, it's a little bit big to wear around the neck, lol.
Excuse me, ma’am, just thought I’d let you know you have a snail stuck to your shirt..... Ha ha. When you said that, it reminded me of a trip out to Ocotillo Wells a few years ago. Bob found a dead desert hairy scorpion, and had some fun with it.
Excuse me sir, do you know you have a scorpion on your shoulder?

After posting the photos of Bob and the dead scorpion, I just had to go back to that trip thread and fix the broken photo links. What a big difference!
Recent desert trip - PIC HEAVY
Many of the newer members have not seen a lot of the pictures in older posts. Hope it was worth the effort to restore them
I hope to do more.

Here is one I found on the Rio Puerco a few years ago. Not silicated feels like sandstone. Found about 5000 ft in elevation. There are shark teeth also in the area.
