Question (or suggestion) if you don't mind... Why are you using so much ceramic media in 180/220 (never heard of 180/220 grit before) when there are plenty of smalls in the batch? You could have added maybe 10 + more rocks instead of the ceramics. I can see using ceramics once past 220, but not so sure it is necessary in the coarse/medium steps. Adding more rocks gives you more options to cull out the pieces you aren't pleased with later on when you then do add ceramics.
Your rocks there have shaped up nicely. Just sayin' more rocks = more better!

Good point captbob. I had these shaped in the little 3 lb HF tumbler it was all I had ready to go into the vibe and I couldn’t wait to get started. Good advice though.

Also that metal screen will damage the material(It streaks the rocks..) always use plastic...

I have the same screens, love them and haven’t noticed any problems from them. I also have a plastic colander I got from Goodwill for a dollar. It fits pretty well in a 5 gallon bucket.

If you're so inclined, I've used my same plastic colander that I've had for a couple of years and used for all stages. I got my colander at Target. Just make sure the holes are small enough to contain any material you want to keep.

Think an old cloth over the screen would work well enough for letting sludge wash through?
I picked one of those up recently since it was sturdy, fit the bucket well, and the sidewalls helped contain and funnel everything. It has only seen coarse ground rocks so far, but that's about to change.
Otherwise, looking good!

(never heard of 180/220 grit before) I just A$$umed the Polly Plastics stage 2 was same as Shawns vibe stage 1. Silly of me. Thanks for pointing it out.
