I am still messing around with this rock that was in my saw vise when I bought the saw. Still not 100% sure what to call it. This cab is from a lower quality section. Still just trying to see how it works up before trying a higher quality piece. The bottom left must have been a bit softer and got a little out of shape. Chuck

Perhaps a copper complex material that is mainly malachite?
Whatever it is, it sure is pretty!

Thanks rockjunquie @rocks2dust hummingbirdstones and Pat. This is a slab from the same rock. Should make some nice cabs when I get into the better sections of it. Guessing some malachite and chrysocolla in there. Chuck

Very pretty stuff. Just call it "Copper Complex" unless it is from a known location that produces similar named material. Though malachite and chrysocolla are probable, it would take an (expensive) lab analysis to determine the exact constituents. Second photo looks very similar to slabs from some of the material from Arizona's Bisbee and Inspiration mines.
