That is a great piece. What are you going to do with it? Thank you Beth. I was thinking of making a refrigerator magnet.

Very nice saw work Evan! Before I clicked I figured it was either that or a block of cheese 😂

You did a really nice job on that, knave! Nice piece of sodalite, too. Are you going to tumble polish in the vibe or leave it as is?

Saw scrap out of lot-o. The white wants to undercut.

That's interesting. I've only cut cabs from it.

The white veins are obviously softer so the under cutting. Grrrr, multi-hardness rocks nothing but a bear to tumble. Granite for instance. Had you had sodlalite with super thin white bands it would have done much better in the tumbler. Tumbling requires good consistent hardness material without fractures. Not so easy to find in many cases.
The badger state is to cool. Are badgers common there ?

Thanks jamesp. State animal. Definitely see more deer, bear, fox, and raccoon than badgers.

Thanks jamesp. State animal. Definitely see more deer, bear, fox, and raccoon than badgers. Ran up on first badger in the middle of a Texas gravel road. Stopped truck, got out, walked within 6 feet of the demon and he acted as if I were not there. Not the least bit concerned. Decided it was time to get back in truck and leave it alone.

Impressive! That came out really good. What saw did you use?
I haven't vibe tumbled sodalite very well. It undercut, too.
You can hand polish with regular wet/dry sandpapers on a flat surface with spritzes of water.

Thank you Tela. Perimeter with 80 hard wheel, thumb with two saw cuts on the combi.

Glued the template to the slab. Easier to find my line for some reason.
