Well the Fossil agate, that is petrified wood of sorts (I found out it is more like petrified plant life) sometimes called sand agate finished up. I had to hurry up and get some done cause a few people bought some from me and intially it was a bit crumbly. But once it got over dumping the matrix junk off in the 60/90, it shaped up pretty good. I sure didn't want to be selling junk and I had not 'tested the waters' so to speak on this stuff, I just figured 'Agate is Agate'. So here it is as quick as I could polish it. I did a few pieces on the grinder and it was fine, but it does have some pieces with a crumbly exterior. Fossil Agate- I like the pieces with the suspended particles in it- Clueless as to what this is Burro Creek Agate- with a wayward pellet Chalchedony- Petrified wood from Pho, (still waiting to slab the big one) just a couple fell in. All done in the same batch of polish, sharing a ride in a 12# Lortone, merrily tumbling in a bath of Titanium Oxide. Thanks for looking! ;D -Banjo

Very nice Banjo. Is that the same stuff you sent me? I have a bunch in coarse now so it will be about another month. And where is the wayward pellet?

I don't remember, cause I have some 'Eden Valley' Petrified wood, Some 'Arizona' Petrified wood, some 'Marston' Petrified wood and then this here stuff that I thought was petrified wood when I busted it up, but it turned out to be fossil agate. I think you might have some Marston. (Lots of red color, with a green rind?) Now I'm confused Indoor lighting is not real good for photos but.. That's all I have at 10:00pm You gotta find the pellet. Kinda like 'Were's Waldo'. Maybe you didn't have that by you. Anyway, there's one in there. I didn't see it till I posted the photos -Banjo

Heeheehee let me know when you find it Cookie, my eyes are on strike this morning or until they get more sleep.
Great looking stones Banjo, I love what that fossil agate is like, I have a few pieces that are coming along nicely. Wonder what the stuff was that is suspended in them. Thanks for the eye candy!!

I think I found the pellet. It's wedged in the crevice of the white-ish / grey-ish rock in the center. Is that it? Alice

Nice job Banjo!!
Those tiny holes in the fossil agate are also typical of Montana agate.I did about 20-30 lbs of Mont. and it took me forever.Something like 3-4 months to rough it all in.I still had those tiny holes in some of them and had to grind them away with the Genie. The problem with removing someof the the holes entirely is that sometimes that's where the beauty in the agate is.Catch 22!
Every so often I look at past batches and say "How the heck did I let this one get through?"I keep most of the so,so ones for myself and give the good ones away! Well,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I do have a couple beauties stached away for a "Your eyes only" thing!LOL
Great job,,,,,,,,,,,
