WOW is the best I can find ;D
Looking at this rock makes you feel like you are standing in the middle of the beginning of EARTH many many moons ago...most likely before moon itself was. haha

Hi all, I thought you'd all like it but I knew it would hit KD's eye the most! I posted this cab for 3 reasons. One of course was for KD. It's just too beautiful not to show. The third reason is that i'm very happy for the person who made it.His name is Chris and we met on the web about 6-7 years ago.We were both "struggling" tumblers at the time and Chris was the first to venture out into the unknown of the lapidary arts. He bought a so os grinder and some slabs and off he went trying to cut a cab.He was very proud of his first attempts and sent me photo'fs of every one of them.I'm glad he can't read this because I thought his cabs were the worst cabs I had ever seen! He eventually got a LOT better and then tried his hand at wire wrapping,,,,,,YUCK!!I thought his first cabs were ugly but they couldn't hold a candel to the God awful job he did with the wire!! Chris and his wife went from state to state to show to show and didn't sell much at all.Chris didn't give up though he just got better and better until he came up with his own design and technique of making his jewelry. About 2 years ago Chris sent me an email and he was the happiest guy on the planet. He had finally got the break he was looking for all those years. He made a set, nechless, ear rings and a bracelet out of black onyx and a wealthy woman fell in love with it.She told him the "set" wasn't complete without a ring and could he make one to match.Chris had never made a ring in his life but he wasn't about to let this woman get away so he said "Yes"! Well a month later Chris sent her the ring and now she is a steady costomer! She showed off the set to friends and family and they all are buying Chris' jewelry now!! He wraps exclusivly in 14K gold and hs work is awesome!! The reason this story makes me so happy is that i've not only seen Chris grow into lapidary but i've seen many of you do the same thing and I think it's wonderful!! Just think back a little when you were struggling to get one lousy batch of "real" polished stones. Not the "almost" polished look but the real thing. It seemed to take forever and at times you were so disgusted you were ready to throw everything out the door! Now you make cabs, necklesses out of freeforms and beads, slippers with beads, sterling silver rings, etc.!! How long will it be before you too are making 14k jewelry? Not long I bet!! Tom
