This is one of the original ladders that was used by the early explorers of the caves. It is constructed of wire and wooden rungs. Some of these were said to have been well over 100' in length ... could you imagine?

More columns.

There is just soooooo much to photograph in Carlsbad Caverns ... it's virtually impossible to capture everything you wish you could get on film ... or photo card!

Every time you turn you head ... you are seeing something totally different and new ... Truly a spectacular tour!
