Are these things really that much better than the good ol vice? Never used one so wouldn’t know. I’ve personally never had issues clamping down round stones. With difficult shaped material that you need to cut at a super precise angle, I think these are about the best thing available. Gary Rider, the montana agate iris rainbow guy, was using one that Pete customized for him if I recall. Now you have me trying to remember what was different about his, I might have to ask Matt. When I first saw the grabbers when I was working and had the die shop available, I was thinking about making something like it on my own, but even then without the jigs and everything Pete no doubt uses I would be better served just to buy one if I value my time. |

Nobody is accusing you of anything nefarious, we are more like those new neighbors who show up on your porch with a casserole of questionable origin before you even finish moving in. I suspect that if you know Pete and Sari well enough to know what they are up to, that we have probably at least bumped elbows in a show somewhere. I would personally like to hear a bit more about how he's doing. Is the YouTube video yours? |

Just don't sell them here until you have more posts. BTW, you'd be surprised how many people do what you did. Not unusual. On the other hand, we've had some dishonest people who show up, too. My job is to suss them out. I'm sorry. |

Good. Then he is not the guy with the blue geode clamps, that's for sure.
I still want updated info though, even if it is that he no longer is making them, just so we know.

Mark K you could always call them, I'll bet the number on the pic of the flyer or the video is still good. rockjunquie you obviously don't know Pete, he would have to hire someone to do that for him. Whoever it was is one of his many friends who just wants to help.
