It does. I got a thick slab from Tony (catmandewe) and didn't to a good job of splitting it (7mm and 3mm). This is from the thin piece and it's fairly even.
I will make a flat top/low dome. The thicker slab also has the exact pattern going all the way through so I can make a nice high dome cab from it.
