I landed here searching for information on rock tumbling. I got my grandson (whom I am raising) a rock tumbler for Christmas. Well, needless to say I'm not sure who is having more fun (and trouble) with it. Right now it's just a national geographic 3 lb tumbler. I am sure that by the end of the year we will have either worn it out or added a new one just because. We don't have or know of any place to go out and hunt good tumbling rocks, but have been buying rough online. Hoping to learn a lot while here

Welcome to rock tumbling. Glad to have you on board. I’m also a newcomer to the hobby as of last fall.

Welcome from Virginia. I love that you are doing this with your grandson. Not only great bonding time and keeping him busy, but also getting him involved in what could be a life long rewarding hobby. Once bitten, it's hard to get away. Soon, you'll both be cabbing, too. PS- I raised my grandkids, too.
