Hi Guys
I haven’t expoxied up a heart in couple seasons Being that I started at a lap club Tomorrow is grind day
So I figured I best epoxy up a starter heart to see how the grinding goes. I wanted to more preliminary grinding on the heart halves & had planned doing that tomorrow.
But I stopped in at Lonnies Jewelry Supply to purchase the E-330 epoxy. They were out. So I purchased DevCon epoxy. A brand I never tried.
So I figured, again-- I best epoxy up a heart to see how the grinding goes. Will this epoxy hold up? Before I get to involve?
Anyone ever used it?

It should be fine, mohs. The E-330 is always touted as "jewelers epoxy" because it supposedly doesn't yellow, but for your purposes gluing 2 halves of a rockin' heart together, I don't think it will make any difference.

right on Robin! Ha ha It was a fast join. I’ll find out tomorrow if the DevCon poxy as got the grit 2 rock the heart I’m sure it does And that heart ought to grind up fairly fast Its fiber optics. Good test Should be finished tomorrow, mostly Plus I’ll be working some other halves I've had in the works So If the epoxy holds- I’ll have few more heart halves 2seam up and finish.

I’d say the DevCon poxy passed the test Have to wait 10 years to Really sure Just couple quick shots Not done== But it ground really fine & took me longer than I thought Will wait to stick the eye-pin. Still some contouring of the edges & carving a cleave. to be done. But it was rushed job Testing the new epoxy...

Thanks everyone ! I'm real happy with how it shaped up its difficult not having my own set-up The material is fiber optics I had this in the works for couple years This material as lots bling and zing to it It will make be-bopping pendant Now I got some more rock heart halves 2 calibrate ,seam 2gether, shape & polish A little at time…

Again, very cool Ed! Sweet rockin' heart. Being late to this party, I'd never seen much of your work besides your avatars. Something to shoot for...
