I had a lot of fun working with the obsidian. I think that 220 wheel was crucial. I've stopped using the 180 entirely. I also spent a very long time on the brown wheel getting rid of every last scratch.

It's pretty hard to see the colors in it unless you get the lighting just right. I wonder if there's a better way to cut or polish it to bring it out more. I'm planning on buying a bunch of slabbing rough to play with. I'd also like to try gold and silver sheen!
