Hi all, I bought these (112) Brizilian Agates last August and with my "reorganizing" I lost them until today!Don't laugh!! I found some other stuff too!! I'm not all that crazy about the died agates but the light coming through the window seemed just right for them so I took a few photo's.I started with the full agate and then shot some close-ups. Hope ya like um! Tom

"Hello, Officer, I'd like to report 112 small Brazilian Agates missing." "Vermillion maggots? who is this?" "Agates, Sir, Brazilian Agates, my name is Tom." "Faggots, you say, Tom? How did these faggots go astray"? "Um, NO, Officer, not faggots, AGATES and they are dyed!" "Listen, Tom, if you have 112 Dead Vermillion Faggots, you are going to have to come down to the station, we'd like to ask you a few questions..." "click". (those are nice rocks, Tom, just couldn't resist.. KD)

I like the Brazilian Agate slices but I too am not too crazy about some of the garish colors. The one you show has a nice pattern. ..csroc

Cher, I have a few ideas for the slabs and yes wind chimes is one of them. Some can be cut for cabs aand some i'll just display.I got them for less then $0.50 a piece and they're polished to high heaven.I'm going to try to buy more this year but I think I'll buy some bigger ones.
csroc,,,
Some of the natural slabs I have are out of this world!I won't make wind chimes out of them babies!!

You see, people, you see? Unprotected sex led to this atrosity! 112 dead (oh, I won't even use the word!) dried up, shriveled into these horrific masses. What a horrible way to go.
Codoms, people!

Tom-
How do you lose 112 of those things???? I could see 1 or 2 disappearing, but 112? Ok, you've got a good excuse, you've probably had your head in that saw of yours for the past 2 months. Not like you've had other things on your mind right??? LOL
Those are just spellbinding. Good find and hope you got a good deal on them. If you'd like to lose a couple in the mail w/ my name and address on the envelope, I'd be happy to contribute to your next batch of stuff!!!!!!

Sand John, (we have too many johns here) I bought some of the slabs for just that reason, making cabs. Now if I can only find the time to do it.
Jack,
Faggots aren't all that easy to find these days.
Especially when they're 112 parts per Vermillion!!
Cookie,
Unprotected sex had absolutely nothing to do with this!
Even my Viagra doesn't help!!
Kim, I know ,,,,I know,,,,,,I can hear them calling,,but,,,,,,
I can't find time to blow my nose lately never mind drilling slabs but I WILL do it sooner or later.
Gaetz,
You're giving yourself away here!Only a "greenhorn" couldn't imagine loosing 112 slabs in a rock shop!
Hell when you have "112 parts per Vermillion" ask me that question again!!
I think I got a pretty good deal on the 112 slabs.I paid just over 40 bucks for them which comes out to around $0.40 a piece and there's no way I could buy rough, cut it and polish it for that price.I bought them at the Eastern States Rock Gem and Mineral show in Springfield Mass last year and I really hope to go again this year. I also found a seller on Ebay who's starting bid was $1.00 for 4"-6" polished Brazilian Agate slabs and no one was bidding on them!I bought every slab he had in each of his separate auctions (about 10 slabs/auction) until he stopped selling them.
The mark-up on ALL lapidary material is way out of whack and the rock shop owners both on the street and the web are just taking advantage of all of us.
Think about it.If I can buy polished slabs for about $0.40 a piece and the seller is making money then how much money are the street and web "venders" making when they charge us $3.00 and up for the same thing?
I bought a few Brazilian Agate slabs from the Rockshed a while back for about 3-4 bucks a piece and they weren't even polished! In all fairness i've bought slabs from other sellers and paid the same rediculous prices.
I guess you call is plain old GREED!
I forgot to add the shipping costs as well!!
Now,,,,,,,,,,After "that" speech you want me to send you some slabs??
I'll do it ASAP buddy but PLEASE be patient,,,,i'm in a real bind here.
Thanks all,,,,,
Tom
