What type of metal is the wire and where do you get it? I've actually been using 21 gauge square dead soft nickel wire for the wraps and 22 gauge half round dead soft sterling silver or gold filled wire. The reason I'm using nickel is that I'm still learning and on a budget- eventually I'll switch to silver. I started with copper and I think it might be a little easier to work with and it's cheaper- but I like silver better in most cases. A good place to buy wire is riogrande.com, but I've also purchased quite a bit from Amazon. Mostly because I'm an addict and can get it here quicker!

I'm so spoiled by Amazon. I hate paying shipping, and I want everything to arrive tomorrow.
