Dang this stuff is just hard to get a picture to really do justice to the gorgeous color but I did the best I could. I know one thing for sure, I need to get some more of this busted up and tumbled, it's just so beautiful with the sterling. Talk about a mirror shine, there's me in the lower left corner taking the pic. Hahaha peek a boo!! Here's one I took holding it to give you an idea of the size. I started this one with the bail, not a good idea for me. LOL it wasn't anything like I envisioned it and hadn't planned on doing the curl thing again. I wanted to do a heart around behind the stone but couldn't find a way to make it stay secure. Next time maybe. Thanks for looking, as always ... thoughts and opinons appreciated. Cher

Thanks for the compliments. Cookie, I just tossed this one and a few others in with a mixed load of agates, quartz, flint, and stuff. I just watched it and when it had a nice shape moved it on to the next step. It probably spent about 3 weeks in coarse, had some pitting that I wanted gone so I just left it. 1 week in 120/200 1 week in 500 1 week in 1000 5 days in AO polish ... and it had a great shine 5 days in Cerium ... and it lost all of that great shine so it went back to 500 and ran a week in each one again, finishing up in with 10 days in AO polish.

Thanks all! Yes Kim, the teardrop is next. Going to have to do some thinking on it though, I have some square sterling that I'd like to try and work into it too, maybe twisting it if I can figure that out. Thanks for the mention on the picture, I'll use that one on ebay then. Going to have to try and get a few more though, I like having more than one picture in there.

Wow Cher , top shine and top wrapping. I love it. My son Henry was as impressed as I was. He is turning into a rockhound, has joined the local club and is planning to get his own tumblers.
Thanks for showing.

Cher I think the testament to the shine is the lower left corner of the stone on the first picture .... I was wondering what you had attached to the stone - I couldn't see it in the second picture, then, it dawned on me.... That's you!! Amazing shine and Fantastic wrap, & awesome stone - I love hematite!

Yay We're Back!! Self-taught Tinman. Started using Colorcraft Art wire and practice lots. LOL ... best way to wrap the rocks in your head is with a tinfoil hat ... LOL *smile*
Thanks for the compliments everyone. Gaetz, I put them up on ebay yesterday, I'll go look up the url's and post them up for you.
