Yeah, big tree alright.
Just had a random thought - I'm prone to cranial short-circuits.
Since petrified palm root and typical petrified palm differ, what might roots of regular trees look like compared to the main part of the tree?

normal trees have pith in the center roots do not.

One is from an Oak limb and the other Oak roots.

Those photos are so interesting, showing the differences like that.
I would've driven myself nuts trying to figure out how the "tree" in the lower one grew and how it was slabbed. The way the lines fan out from the center is something I haven't seen in person.
