Me again *smile* I'm sure most of you remember this pic of the eye agate that I polished up awhile back. I counted over 60 eyes on this little thing and it's only like 3/4 inches long and just slightly under that in width. It's just loaded! I always wanted to try something with this but it seemed to small to work with, kind of rounded on the edges, I wasn't sure if I could make it work. Today, I took the plunge and was determined one way or the other to get it wrapped. Took me forever but I did it. There were some minor blemishes on the stone, actually some of the outer "potato skin" pitting but I didn't want to keep tumbling it, figured it was small enough so left the "pits" for character. Hope it doesn't deter too much, it's going up on ebay shortly. Thanks for looking, Cher

Cher-
I just love your agates. You're very lucky to have that quality of rock in your neck of the woods. Good luck and may you find that 4 pounder some day soon.

Thanks you guys, I appreciate the compliments on it. Do any of you think the blemishes detract too much?

cher i believe that's the best one yet! i can't see the blemishes in the pic. you do an excellent job of describing your auctions. mention the blemishes and why you left them. i'd be proud to wear that! hell i wear tumbled gravel lol. people love it.

Thanks Kim, it certainly was the smallest one I ever did. Glad you suggested that because that's what I did, told them right out about the blemishes and why they are there. I have it up on ebay if anyone wants to look. Lake Superior Eye Agate on Ebay I listed it in with all the other Lake Superior Agates under collectibles ... hope I didn't make a mistake doing that but I wanted to make sure it was seen by people who collect lakers. Wow, that's beautiful cher! It's amazing how a little gold can give a rock an entirely different look.

I would say that your wire wrapping has almost hidden the blemishes I didn't see them until I looked at the ebay picts your description is such that anyone who bids can't complain you gave more than fair warning not that any was really needed I hope it sells high a good piece

That is very nice, as for the pits sometimes they add character. Tami
