Found this Richardson's egg hiding in milk crate with Hampton Butte material, so I figured today was a good day to cut it. Colors are a bit unusual, I have no idea which bed it is from. about the size of a baseball.

I bought a bunch of Richardson eggs on my last road trip through Oregon. None of them were that cool inside when I cut them.

That's a good one! I bought a bunch of Richardson eggs on my last road trip through Oregon. None of them were that cool inside when I cut them. Bonnie told me a few years ago if you get one real good one out of 10 you are doing good! I bought a 9 lb lot of them uncut. To be fair they were all still pretty cool. Just none that were as exceptional as the one in this thread. For me most of the fun is in cutting them and not knowing what you're going to get so I definitely got my money's worth.
