i found this on my hike across the Texas coastal plains, i don't really recall what it looked like before I started but this is wet after the 220 stage. If i have intuited correctly the pin-striping on here is called a Fairburn pattern, but that may be a regional thing I intuited incorrectly, it is a fortification pattern whatever it is, it is really pretty

Very cool! I don't believe there are Fairburns in Texas, but I could be wrong. Would it just be a cool piece of agatized wood with fortification banding?

WOW! If wood, that is amazing. wood was definitely involved since the dark parts on the edges are clearly wood. like i said i will get better pictures in better lighting later today(probably)

Cool piece. Even cooler if self collected right? it is self collected, that is the kind of disappointing part, i don't know if where i found it or if i have more. i think i have another piece of agateized/crystallized wood but i don't know if i will be that spectacular
