like it or lump it i'm through with this one lol. i have wrapped that piece of turritella 4 or 5 times. i was through with it and just couldn't leave well enough alone and messed the bail up, put it aside and started again today. i wasted way too much wire. the turritella bead chips are from the last polished batch and i drilled them (broke a few too). these are the first earrings i've done. kim

Hey Kim , neat rock that turritella .
And the wirewrap came off pretty neat too . I can see that it was tough going. I love those earrings too. Great display on that quartz. Thanks for sharing

What is this turritella again? Was this fossil stuff? Ok, whatever it is, it's really neat. What amazing details it's got in it.
Kim, I'm sorry you had such a struggle with that one, I can so sympathize with you on that. You did good though and I'm glad you wouldn't give up. Great idea for the earrings, I have some small chips like that and was wondering what I could do with them.

You did a great job on the pendant and earrings. Just make sure you are relaxed when you do your wire wrapping, because your tension will flow through to the wire and it will not behave fore you. Tami

relaxing ........... yeah i remember that. i think that's what i was doing in college lol. requires alot of joints if i recall correctly. i probably could wrap better in one of those relaxed states : ). no wonder my wire is acting up tami! maybe i've still got some pills somewhere from when i broke my foot last year that i could take before i try the next one lol.
anybody know what glue and release agent ron uses when he drills? holding those little chips was too hard. i want to glue a bunch down next time. and kd where do you get your twisted drills?

I think run was using Crazy Glue--- Drill it pop in the freezer and it pops right off! If I.m not mistaken- I've been drilling some Ocean Jasper chips with a small diamond burr and a dremel and man after 10 min of pinching a rock under water MY HAND kills me! Oh the wrap came out awesome!

Great job, Kim. That's a beautiful wrap, and I can't believe you drilled those tiny chips without shattering them. Just beautiful.

Nice job Kim. I don't EVEN drill holes. That is more frustrating to me than wire wrapping. The whole set looks good. You are your own worst critic. Funny how the gals always remember to make matching earrings and guys are just happy with a pendant ;D Looking GOOD Kim!

the pendant sold today! funny how i was sick of it last weekend when it was giving me so much trouble and very sad to see it go today. not sure if she wants the earrings too but i sent them all in a nice little box so she could decide. nobody could remember if she wears earrings since having children since the little ones like to snatch them. if she decides she doesn't want the earrings i'll make a new wire wrapped pendant to go with them.
