Here are some of last weeks slabs. Had a total of 4 end cuts and they produced some nice cuts. The pudding stone is lower quality and not cab worthy but will probably yield a bunch of tumbled fridge magnets. Chryscolla (complex copper)  Prudent Man Vein #1  Drummond Island Pudding Stone  Bad news is that it might be time for the first clean out on the 18" saw    Thanks for looking Chuck |

Definitely looks like clean up time in that saw too! How much oil does that hold? Doesn't look like much. My home built 16" saw holds 5 gallons but it doesn't have an angled sump like that.

My home built 16" saw holds 5 gallons but it doesn't have an angled sump like that. Thanks. Yeah this is an 18" that does not hold much oil. Maybe 2 1/2 gallons. This will be my first time cleaning this one so hopefully it goes quick. I will probably look into putting a 90 and a ball valve on it to speed up and make clean outs less messy. |
