Emptied out the 12# Lortone and I am posting pics of polished stones. I'll have to wait to get organized for posting slabs, cabs and jewelry. I feel as though I have to at least maintain my quota of polished rocks to stay legitimately on the RTH website. Although I thought at times, that a Lapidary Forum might be the logical expansion of this board. Anyway, what I have in this load is the rest of the Fossil Agate that came through after the rush to at least get some done to see how it polishes. Then I had some Burro Creek Agate in with it (which I always seem to have in every load), and the Pet wood from Tom and a little trial of 'Jellybean Jasper' which I really, really like as a tumbling stone. It fractures a bit much when slabbing, so it is perfect for tumbling. It nearly explodes apart at the touch of a 6 pound hammer. Fossil Agate- Burro Creek Agate- Petrified Wood, from 'Phoenix1647'(Pho)- Little bit of 'Jellybean Jasper'- I even remembered the Quarter this time. I think that might be a first for me. I skipped the 120/200 step by running 2 weeks longer in 60/90, then 2 weeks in 400 to 1000 for 1 week and Titanium for 5 days. Thanks for looking, hope I didn't take up too much room -Banjo

Awww Banjo, you could never NOT be a part of this forum but I'm glad you felt obligated to post some pics *smile* always love looking at your pics!! That agate is so cool with those little spots in it, I'm still working on mine, it's coming along and there's a few really nice pieces in there.
Your pet wood is gorgeous, specially the red one and those last three .... you going to do some wrapping on them?
Ok, guess I'd best be very careful when I take the splitting mall after it. ;D Thanks for the warning. I love the way that looks, think it's time to dig mine out and bust it up.
Thanks for the pics, love them!!

Those look Great Banjo! I have a few Fossil Agates that you sent me, still in coarse (Sure do need a lot of coarse!). Sure hope they turn out as nice as yours.
Do you think they'd take a nice shine if I put them in AO polish? or should I order up some Titanium?

Banjo, that is a great batch! That fossil agate is a very unusual stone.... I'd be tempted to call it "pepper agate". It looked pretty good on your earlier rushed batch, but it looks absolutely top-class in these pics. You are onto something good!

Thanks all! Tinman- I use a Thumlers B 15# for 60/90 Lortone 12# for the 400 Lortone 12# for pre-polish Lortone 12# for Titanium Oxide (or Dioxide). Now it's back to cabbing slabbing and wrapping for awhile as the 'Tumblers Turn'

Dang you Banjo- Your stuff is up next (it cut in line and started fighting with the other rocks!) Now I see this stuff and I keep going down to the shop and yelling at the tumbler to HURRY UP!!!! The batch I.m on now has been going for 9 WEEKS and it still has not reached polish! Oh I gotta get another tumbler!
