Finally got a chance to get out the dremel this weekend- boy, those new puppies sure want a lot of attention! Anyway, here's the slab and the cabs. Not fantastic, but I think they'll turn out nice. And thanks for looking. Oh and a couple of bonus pics. I thought I might as well cut a chunk out of my thumb when I was cutting up an onion last night. But I still wanted to cab, so I slapped on a bandaid and went to the garage since I had a chance. I probably should have waited a few days but oh well. Dang, I think I'm addicted! After cabbing.

Jeez Louise, Mike! You need a sturdier band aid and maybe some gloves over that if you're going to be dremeling.
Cabs are looking good!

Nice (continual) work with your Dremel. Outside of using wheels, I think your Dremel cabs are the nicest I've seen on this place of that sort. As to the cut, I feel your pain. I cut my thumb tip off with a brand new knife once, and the nail didn't stop it one bit. It was kind of funny looking at the squared thumb tip, nail included. At least it got me out of dishes for awhile.

That is what I call getting into your work! Ouch! Is that a rhyolite? Not sure- it came in a box of random slabs from roy. Hopefully someone can tell me...

Yikes that sounds like it would have hurt! Mine isn't even close to that bad- but you never realize how much you use that part of your thumb until it's sore. Especially when you're trying to get a rock to hold still so you can cab it!
