Trying to decide if I want to redo this one because I screwed up and wasn't paying attention when I ordered my wire. I got 18 gauge, not recommended for these kind of wraps. I'll probably just save the wire in case I get into groove wrapping, it should be fine for that. Thanks for looking.

i like the design. How does the back look? If it looks good, then I would leave it as is.

I agree. It needs a daintier gauge wire to show it off better.

Yep, Me too. I tore it apart, crumpled the wire and threw it in the trash. It just wasn't what I wanted, if that makes any sense. Although I didn't hate it, I think it wanted to be better.

I sure hope that wire wasn't sterling. If it was, you better fish it outta the trash and save it with your other scrap. That's $$$, son.

Mike, don't count on using 18g for groove wraps. They are usually done with 22-20g. The groove cutters aren't that thick.

Love the design on the rock and looking forward to seeing you work your magic on the rewrap.

Yes, if it is sterling, go save it! You can use bent, scratched sterling to make balls in about 5 seconds with a butane mini-torch. You can also use pieces for other embellishments.

Much better! I like it alot.
Good lesson you learned, Grasshopper. The smaller the stone, the smaller gauge wire you use.

I liked them both but agree the smaller gauge wire looks better with that stone.
