I’m trying to take advantage of the time at home and be creative, so yesterday I made this piece for a former student in my lab. I rarely use the saw, but thought I’d go that route with this piece. And I played with my chasing hammer and the JAX blackener. The stone is some of the “blue” chalcedony I found a while back. I need to get more proficient with the saw as I had to spend lots of time with the file, but overall I’m happy with the piece. Thanks for looking and stay safe everyone.   |

That turned out great! Love the texture.
I like sawing, but I still can't saw a straight line to save my soul. Thanks Robin. If I had followed the lines with my saw I would have been much better off. But I stayed outside of them, and it was so off kilter, it took forever to get it back symmetrical. |
