I have been terrible with sticking with my tumbling timeline and sharing my experiences with the wonderful community around here. These first pics are the random rocks I have been tumbling for a couple months in rough and are ready to go into the second stage. The purple one in the first pic is my favorite from the batch. The darker purple one above that one is one I found locally.   We did some hiking in the mid section of the state and found tons of quartz in purple and pinks with some with white inclusions. I grabbed some for tumbling and some to use as filler. It seems to work great so far. These are after the first week in rough.  The rock below is a little larger than the rest. It measures about 3.5"-4" long and I thought it looked neat. I'm sure it will stay in the coarse grind for quite some time.  I need to get better at taking pics...  I should be cleaning out that second stage of rocks today, so I should have some more pics later tonight. |

I think you did a fine job and your pictures ain't too bad, either. That one agate is awesome sauce!

That first single pic is by far my favorite, so much going on in that little sucker!

miket some of your little fairburns are starting to get quite good just did another clean out tonight. Gonna touch them up on the grinder and they will go in next loto load. Thanks
