Gracias HummingBirdStones! purchased that slab 10 years ago from a vendor at at Flagg Rock Show was told it was jade Then and now I have no real reason to doubt it although it may be some derivative of jade pretty happy w/ how it shaped and shined It may have more shine to then my skills and resources allow the vendor told me that jade loves heat when polishing/buffing I'm always leery of heating the stone due to the poxy seam anyway I got it pretty warm and it took a nice luster hope all well in my favorite north west land

It was not my intention to craft a pink & yellow combo But things get confused out in the rock yard when your slicing rocks for hearts I want to come up with naming color combo for pink/yellow. I will definitely will craft mor. Peekylow is one of them. any other suggestions ? Thanks from a distant RockYard EdMohs

Thanks for the likes ! Especially on the lavender jade on the chryscola Trying to go for that spring rock garden colors The jade shines pretty good yet is difficult to get a higher sheen Maybe it possible; But that what I can produce w/the my resources and skills The lavender shade as significant meaning, especially at the end of March for me. thanks ev !
as mentioned it wasn't my intention to make a pink & yellow combo but ya see-- when mohs gets 2 things going on in the rock yard like slicing slabs things can get confused ha
I cut two pieces real small to its other designated half and that serendipity lead to that combo
Its sweet little be-bopping heart so I'll be doing villastraw combo's again

right on Ev
years ago I wanted to do a video tutorial but couldn't find anyone to hold the camera it would have been a crack up
I also mentioned if came in beaucoup bucks I'd throw a 'RTH craft a rock’n heart' Olympics
Modeled one of those chef shows
All the rough- all the lapidary equipment -for each team Timed- a moderator extrapolating on the grief drama joy & the judges rating heart performance...
what I like help with is getting the best sheen polish on that lavender jade
O like to believe that its smooth enough grind through all the grit stages so I don't think needs a rework altho I haven't taken a loupe to it yet but if a better sheen is possible I open to help thanks ED

The lalalilac has such a smooth cleft, and such a sweet color, it doesn’t have any worry about being socially accepted imo... I’m not sure what the mohs of that purple Jade is? Nearly everyone knows, If you want a great shine, You will needs lots of mohs, And life will be fine....
