Glenn sent me these Montana Agate slabs a long time ago and I promised him I would post photo's of them.GlennI apologize for taking so long but I think you'll like the end results. I polished the slabs in my Lot-O-Tumbler and I think they came out pretty good. Photo's 3 & 4,,,,,5 & 6 are two different slabs. They look almost the same. The slabs are sitting on Scrabble tile holders to give you an idea of size. Also you may think some of the photo's are blurry but they aren't.The blurry parts are actually the deep patterns in the agates themselves. I did them with other Montana rough to make a full load of 4 lbs. #240 48 hrs changing grit every 12 hrs #400 12 hrs #600 12 hrs #1000 12 hrs Tripoli 12 hrs Rapid Polish #61 12 hrs Dreft powdered soap and water 4 hrs Here's the photo's: Thanks Glenn Tom Ps:Gaetz yours are almost finished!!

Really nice looking slabs there. You got yourself half a set of wind chimes That first one looks like a fish I saw out in the coral reef off the coast of Maui once. Great looking batch, Thanks for sharing. -Banjo

I have some of that also, it's one big chunk. I need someone to slab it for me. If someone wants to slab it for me, I'll split it with ya...

Hi gang, I tried my best to keep up with this board but it just moves so fast I can't do it! (gettin' old too)
First let me say thanks to everyone for all the nice comments.I guess you all know how good it makes you feel after trying your best and getting such a great response. You're all great people!!
Glenn, You have to take some credit for the slabs because you were nice enough to send them to me!!I thank you again!
Vibe Queen, The reason it only took me 3 days and 4 hrs is because the slabs were in perfect condition when Glen sent them to me.Some times slabs will have deep saw marks in them and they take a lot longer to do.These were smooth as silk. He's got a good saw with a slow feed!
Banjo,
It would be a sin for me to make wind chimes out of these slabs.I have all those Brazilian agate slabs to "play" with!! LOL Don't forget I'm from CT where the pickins are VERY slim and don't have what you lucky dogs have!!
Mr.John Sands,
The saw is becoming a REAL sore spot with me.I busted my hump to get it ready for Mr. Powder Coat and he's really dragging his feet. It's been so long I don't know if I can remember how the hell to put it back together! And I'm not kidding!Tomorrow or Tuesday he is going to get a personal visit from this p**t off Pollock!!
Earthdog, I'd love to help you out slabbing your rock but if you read my reply to Sands you'll see why I can't.
Thanks again everyone!!
Tom
