Hi, how do people supply water to vertical flat laps without completely flooding it as the water trickle flow just falls back to the ground. Is there a trick or do you have to run high power water to get it on the lap. I was hopping to use gravity flow tank rather then a pump. I'm using one of the segmented flexible nozzle hoses that often come in blue and orange or sometimes white.
BTW, if anyone is interested, I am building a pretty cool intarsia machine I will post once I finish.

Depends on the rpm I suppose. If the rpm is fast enough you want to apply the water near the center of the wheel, I prefer just onto the “upward” side of center. The centrifugal forces will then spread the water nicely. You can smell it when the rock gets dry or hot.
