I just purchased a UV-10 after a long absence from Rock Tumbling, I finished my first batch. Step one 2 weeks in a tumbler. Step 2- 3 days in the Vibe, Step 3- 3 days in vibe, Step 4- 3 days in vibe. So lots of mistakes and lots of success. I used what I had around. Backyard rocks, pet wood, beginners bag of rocks, various rocks bought at rock shows, some preforms I started and never finished. I am having trouble uploading pictures. I will give it a try. If now pictures shows up I will try again this evening.

Last photo for the night. Lots of pitting and fractures. I have so much more to learn.

They’re looking good. Keep at it. There’s a lot to learn and every tumble will teach you something new.

Looking good! If it were me I probably would have used a little more time in the rotary tumbler for steps 1 and 2 to get a nicely rounded shape to the rocks and eliminate some of the pits and cracks before moving on to the vib stages. But that's just me. Even my wife says I'm a perfectionist PITA (Pain in The ***).
