I ask because it's designed to be run with both barrels full of material, and you can't simply choose to fill only one barrel and run it. That's alot of feeding from the front end. I don't want to dissuade you if you're actually going to be processing that much material, but lots of folks do quite well with the single barrel machine. Plus, you'll save a bit of money.

EricD has the twin model you can ask him. My single loto easily keeps up with a Thumbler B, a 3 lb HF, and any preforms and cabs from the Lortone.

Thanks. I didn't realize it had to have both barrels full. I was going with the double just because it would be cheaper than buying another single down the road. Anyhow, what other stuff's should I get?

I would go with a single barrel Lot-O. If you must have a dual barrel you could buy mine! I can't keep up with it.

I did not get a polish barrel, some do. Get a small bungee or rubber bands to hold the cap on. 3 - 5 lbs of large ceramic maybe 1-2 lbs of small.

The odd rock can and does wear on the lid. They are inexpensive and easy to lose.

I bought an extra barrel for polish. Small bungees from Harbor Freight to hold down the lid. I just attach the ends to the frame where the barrel sits. Others use linked rubber bands over the lid and attach them to the nipple on the bottom of the barrel. 5 pounds each of large and small cylinders and mixed the two together to vary the sizes in the batch. I haven't found a need for an extra cap.

Excellent. Thanks for all the input. Shawn is quoting me a single tumbler, 5 pound's each large and small ceramics, and 20 pounds of stones as we speak.

Just a Tip, You don't hsve to fill both barrels with rock your polishing. You can fill the second barrel with ceramics or Pea Gravel whatever you may want tp somewhat weigh the second barrel contents to balance the load.
