I have a couple "cabs" that I "domed" on my tile saw and polished in the vibe that I would like to know what they are if you know: Thanks!

Welcome! I bet that took a steady hand to dome on a tile saw!! I’d be sweating —-a bit!

How hard was the one on the left? The other looks to be some kind of jasper. But, I'm just guessing. Good to see you found some time to play with rocks.

Thank you people. You know I can't stay away from the forum or rocks for long! Too many awesome individuals and rocks! rockjunquie it is very hard, at least a 7. It actually reminds me of montana moss in that most of the slab broke apart from fractures when I was trimming. I may have to dig through several thousand pictures and ask the person I got it from Pat yes doming on a tile saw isn't quite what I call fun, which is why on Friday I ordered an 8" CabKing despite not having any money

CONGRATS on the cabber!!!!
OK, if the stone is that hard, it's not what I was thinking it might be, but maybe some kind of stromatolite.

I think they both came out of a box that said Mexican Agates. Glad to see you posting and playing with rocks. Let me know if you need some more.
