I found this in a box of Nevada vriscite I got when I bought the remaining stock and equipment of a rock shop a few years back. 45x25x12 mm. It is the thickest cab I have ever cut. Pre-form Finished cab What stuff hard at all or was it a typical varisite and very soft When I finish my cab I’ll show you the piece I have I finally had a break in the weather and it took me longer then I wanted to put my garden in I cooked like a lobster

This piece was fairly hard compared to most of the variscite i have cut. It shows in the polish it took. I wish i had a bunch more this nice.

I am not sure of the origin of the material I have. I know it came from Nevada but that is as close as I can get. No red, blue, or white in the material. At least not any to remark about. Love to see what you have...

Well here’s my Montana with a hatching hornet and I have to say the hardest Montana to date that I have worked on. Where the wings on his back there was the markings for the body but the better it looked it suddenly lost all color just like fire agate and the water turned black. Well it’s done

Congratulations stonemon on a solid win! It was a beautiful stone and excellent craftsmanship so again, congratulations. Please choose our July contest theme and let me know which prize you prefer, the SFRB of tumbles or a shirt or mug selection out of the RTH Store.

Wow! Thanks folks! It is an honor to win the fcc. I have been thinking about the July theme. We have been seeing a lot of laker's, fairburn's, and teepee agates on the forum lately and I would love to see a few more fortified or banded agates cut to perfection. Lets do fortified or banded for July. Go crazy! (or crazy lace) Tommy, I will message you when I get a chance to pick something. Thanks again to all of you! Bill
