UPDATE again- 5-13-20
Let's try this again with SILVER SMITHERS. Let us know in the comments if you want to play as a smithy with another cabber. We'd like to see 6 teams. The general rules should be the same. But, I added more time to each step.
If you change your mind about which team you want to be on post it here.
I am adding this to the game: After the names are drawn, you will know who your partner is, so you can collaborate for the best piece.

Update 5-11-20
I've only got 2 wrappers. I think I'll try to raise more later on for this, but right now it looks like a bust. Sorry guys. But, two teams is not enough.
---------------------------------------------------
This post is a call for contestants. The contest will consist of teams of cabbers and silversmiths. In every round, people who have expressed an interest in playing will have their names drawn from a hat.
After the names are drawn, you will know who your partner is, so you can collaborate for the best piece. The cabber will have 14 consecutive days (2 full weeks) to cut a cab (material may or may not be dictated- not sure, yet.) The cab will be sent by the cabber to the silversmith teammate. The cabber will send a quality photo to me- DO NOT POST THE PICTURE! The silversmith will then have same amount of time to finish a piece. The silversmith will send a photo of the finished piece to me and then hold onto the piece. DO NOT POST THE PICTURE! After the finished pictures are sent in, a poll will be listed of the anonymous pieces. After the poll is closed, the creators will be revealed. The poll will consist of each team's images. 2- one of the cab, one of the piece. Winning team can choose a t shirt or mug from the RTH shop (for the first contest). The finished pieces will be given to a cabber or a silversmith in alternate months. However, everyone is free to work out a different arrangement if they so choose. This should be done between you two via PM. For the first contest the cabber will keep the piece (unless worked out otherwise). All postage to be picked up by whoever is doing the mailing. I will not be playing or drawing the names for the first round. Tommy , roy or aDave will likely be sharing the duties in the future. Post here if you want to play and what you want to do- cab or silversmith. This part will be open for abt 1 week. (Ending around May 20) Please ask your questions or need for clarification now. I haven't done this before, so your input may be helpful.

Sounds like fun rockjunquie. I am on standby wherever the need is - cabbing (barely), wrapping (clumsily), or administrative

I'll throw my name in as a cabber, although shipping time might be an issue.

Will the cabber know who their wrapper is ahead of time so they can make a cab that fits the wrappers needs? Girdle height, shape restrictions etc.... Chuck

Ok, I'm in as either I guess... Although I'm barely an amateur at both, it sounds like fun!

Been thinking about this for a day or so -- trying to decide whether I'd have the time to do it under a time constraint (sometimes I get really busy). I'm think I'm going to sit this one out because I wouldn't want to be the person who threw a wrench in the whole deal. Maybe I'll be able to participate in a later one.

This looks like fun!!
But, I'm on the bleachers, too. I will soon be separated from my cab machine for the summer. Zero wrapping skills.
