Been ages since I had anything out of polish! Here's the lastest batch. These two pieces are flint ridge flint. I plan to TRY and wirewrap them. Try being the operative word here! I want to use them on necklaces, but don't want to drill them. The colors & shine don't show up very good here, but they really turned out nice. Here are some more slabs I have in mind for either jewelry or the table I am going to do a rock mosiac on - if I ever get enough rocks! And here's the rest of the batch. llana

Very nice pics! I really like the ohio flintridge and the mexican lace. Neat color patterns. I think I'll be retired by the time I finish my first batch of rockolas! What a slowwww process and a longggg wait. Good thing I have plenty to do outside and inside along with my pets! Makes the time go by faster cuz you are just too busy just the same.

Ooooo what a beautiful batch, gorgeous colors and awesome shine. I see quite a few in there that look like they have great pendant potential. Can't wait to see what you make.

Nice batch!!!
I have a question.......
Do you cut slabs and then grind them and then put them in the tumbler? Or how do you get those cabs like that?

Thanks everyone!
As far as holding out on ya' - LOL - I did cut eh slabs, then shape them on the grinder. Then I tossed them in the vibe for the 220 thru polish stages. I love shaping on the grinder, but don't give a hoot about finishing them off on the grinder. Just so much easier to toss them in the vibe to finish and then I can go on to do something else. Just hurts my back and shoulders too much to stay at the grinder more than a couple of hours - and I don't have any of those back pills like Sands! LOL!
KD, I use a generic polish I got at our local rock shop. I have several kinds of polish, but this is my favorite. I always get good results with it.
Cher, I'm not sure any of them will be used for pendants, except the flintridge. I have about decided to use all the pendent/slabs/flat rocks I have for the table I am doing. I have posted pics of it on the thread titled "The Table"
Ron, I tried to wirewrap the oval shaped flintridge and got so frustrated I had to put it away before I slammed it with the rock hammer! Will try again another time. The creative juices just were not flowing - I even tried to make a necklace with a sodalite pendent I got from Sands, but just couldn't get a design together that I liked. So, another time!
