I got my new Inland sintered 60 in record time. Unbelievably fast, in fact. It has some surface rust. I'm wondering if it's been sitting around in a dusty corner for awhile. So, will some mild surface rust cause any problems or is this something I should send back?
So, cloudinary isn't working right now unless I quote myself.
ETA- fixed the code.

If it were me I would send it back with out thinking about it. All my crystalite laps all have tags stating rust is your enemy very important to spin dry The diamonds could break free That looks like you said setting a corner not collecting dust but getting damp before you got it

I would try a quick wipe with some sort of solvent. Usually the bonding material on sintered wheels is a copper alloy of sorts (bronze, brass...) And not prone to rust. Even it it does not wipe off, I'd bet the wheel is still fine to use, and that the discoloration will go away with the first stone you grind. On the other hand, if it were a plated wheel, I would send it back in a heart beat.

My crystalite wheels came coated in an amber colored oil as a rust inhibitor. Are you sure this is rust and not a residue left behind from some tool oil? I'll have to try some solvent on it. I was hoping to get it on Gene before now, but life has been getting in the way.
