My Genie trim saw uses an 8 inch .032 blade with a 1 inch arbor. It costs about $80 to replace. I can buy a mk303 with a 5/8 inch arbor on Amazon for about $50 including tax and delivery. I use a conical grinding stone with wd40 and ream it out. It takes a while and I check the hole as I grind. The last time I did this the blade got stuck and I couldn't go back so I went forward. The blade was almost shot, so I needed to get it off. I pried between the arbor flange and the blade with a wood chisel and got it off quickly without damaging the threads. The last blade I got before the one from Amazon was an MK303 .032 but was thinner than what I was use to. Amazon sells .025 MK303 with a one inch arbor but it is too flexible. The .032 is ok but I prefer a stiffer blade so I ordered another .032 from Amazon and will try not to repeat my mistake.
I'm going to do a lot of trimming tomorrow, so I wanted a decent blade mounted before starting.

As an aside, I shopped for a replacement trim saw attachment. It is a really good trim saw for a person with a Genie. the best price and the They cost about $350 plus tax and shipping. Ebay is $400 plus tax and shipping.
