I hope I'm allowed to do this, these are after all made of glass which are minuscule rocks - right? Here is where my talent lies. Since I have no tumbled stone to post & I'm getting acquainted with my camera, I thought I'd post these. These are patterns that I got from books (very good books I might add). The first is a thimble catcher, made to carry a small lucky charm or an actual thimble. These are amulets - you can put a credit card in there this is Gwenevere - the back is beaded as her hair - I made one with brown hair & green eyes to represent my daughter too Pandas - The fringe is too long & heavy for my taste I might do something else with it Merlin - this has got to be my favorite - I love this one. it's tiny & lightweight Thanks for looking & I apologize if I'm not allowed to do this

Very cute, I love Merlin! I just got a bead loom from a friend, am thinking of ways to incorporate beading with rocks. Beautiful work. S

Those are beautiful, looks like some of the beadwork I have done in the past. Question, did you use a loom? Tami

Tami Alas Tami, no they are all done in peyote, square or brick (hate brick stitch) - loom always has too many extra threads - BTW Bead & button has an article about how to do away with warp threads...

I've thought of selling them on numerous occasions, I've seen Gwenevere sold for $300.00 US. Now I don,t know anyone who would be willing to spend that much on that - I'd like to but I don't - I wanted to sell mine for about $45-60 Cdn max

Merlin was going for $45 Cdn too the Panda was the $60 one. Doesn,t Ebay charge you for using their site (I never got to read all the fine print)

Yes, Ebay first charges you a few cents to a buck or 2 to post up an auction (depends on what your starting bid is). Then they charge you a % of the final sale. Many people over charge shipping just to cover those fees.

Hi Tweetiepy, Those are so good , I have run out of words already ...love them. My wife says something even better ...they are realy very nice with a french accent . And that is no surprise as she is originaly frenchspeaking and she loves handcrafted work. She has never tried this though , but she has seen something similar in Holland a while back. She asked me to ask you if it is done in a weaving method or a knitting method?
Thanks for posting. Nice things are always allowed and you do not need to ask anyones permisson for posting it . Just GO FOR IT !!

Hi Jack
If your wife saw the Gwenevere in Holland - it may be one I gave to a cousin of mine - she lives in Europe. (That would be too cool!) I used neither knitting nor a weave (loom) they were done just by sewing through the beads in a specific fashion (either brick stitch, square stitch or peyote stitch) they are all incredibly easy to master once you get the basics down - if she's interested in any learning to make any one of these, PM me and I'll give her the books I got them from or at least the site where they are listed so she can have a look around.
When I was younger, i did some loom work, but could never figure out what to do with the loom threads and have it look decent so I kinda gave up, but these patterns are really nice - the accent beads make them especially nice!
