This side was cut from a polished high dome face. My wife liked the other side better and I didn't want to try to make high domed flat so I decided on double dome. I ground through 280 soft, will put the cab in the freezer to get the dop off and then glue to the face. I will then finish the other side through polishing on the dop, including squaring the edges, remove the dop and finish that side without a dop.

Okay, thanks knave! Damn I have an ocean jasper too I just didn't recognize it. I've only cut one slab from it but I haven't seen any green color in it yet.

Not all OJ has green. It comes in a myriad of colors and color combinations.

I need to do the second dome on the first OJ (sand and polish when it comes off the dop.

The first Blue Mountain has some scratches on the upper right edge and will fix with the OJ.

I ground one side through 280 soft dopped, removed the dop and then glued it to the side that I ground. Completed the side, removed the dop from the previously ground face and completed the other side without a dop. I use super glue with dowels capped with chair glides. I started with dop wax but hated it. It does have a big advantage for double doming and back polishing.
