Homeless situation; someone needs help. What happens stateside- especially at the moment - with Covid around?

Yes, a guy fell out with his lady & got thrown out. Vulnerable due to historic head injuries. Suicide risk. I’ve tslked him on since this morning. He hasn’t eaten or drink since yesterday. What help is there in the US for this? I know things will be even trickier than ever due to Coronavirus.
I’m still talking to him online & he has sub 50 % battery on his phone.
I don’t feel this is a scam. He’s from the same head injury group I attend on FB. RTH is my biggest link to USA and hoping someone can help inform the situation to me and bring outside help to the guy.

He contacted them after your help this time last night. I’ve trued just recently. He hasn’t eaten or drink in 24 hours. Attempted suicide last night (Nashville time) and he survived it. Considering imminent risk to life would the police get involved?

I’ve sent the police an online enquiry - I can’t call from U.K. There is something called a "wellness check". If you don't hear from him and you are worried, I would ask the police to do a wellness check and why. They are usually pretty good about that sort of thing. There are various suicide hotlines to call, too. Maybe you can google one that has an online contact form.
I'm sorry to hear about his trouble, but I'm glad he has a good friend in you.

The guy is safe now so we can end this thread with a happy note. I ended up calling the UK police and putting international wheels in motion. The situation was repaired very early this morning U.K. time. Thanks for generously taking the time to respond.
